HowGood has analyzed recipes from the Chartwells rotating menu across eight standard metrics of greenhouse gas emissions, processing, water usage, animal welfare, biodiversity, soil health, labor risk, and land use.
What does this mean for M Food Co. guests?
Certified by HowGood, our icons indicate if the recipe has an environmental and social impact better than a specified % of other food based on HowGood’s database of over 2 million products. It also has Greenhouse Gas Emissions that are lower than 70% of all products assessed. HowGood has 15 years of research on global food supply chains. These icons can be found on menu cards, the digital menu screens in Pioneer Dining Hall, and by viewing the menu on the Dine on Campus website or app. With these icons, guests are able to make more environmentally and socially conscious choices about what they eat in our dining halls!
What does the icon look like?
