What is climate-friendly labeling?
This is our new icon system that easily identifies food items from our 80/20 menus that are determined to be climate-friendly certified by HowGood.

Are all of our recipes analyzed?
HowGood has analyzed 500 recipes from the Chartwells 80/20 residential menu for environmental and social impact. Due to the vast number of recipes, our partnership is starting with 500 targeted recipes.
What are the icons, and what do they mean?
Certified by HowGood, our icons indicate if the recipe jas an environmental and social impact better than a specified % of other food based on HowGood's database of over 2 million products. Products that receive the Climate Friendly attribute have Greenhouse Gas Emissions lower than 70% of all products assessed.
Where can guests view these icons?
These climate-friendly labels can be viewed on the Dine on Campus Menus, Menus PIDs (small product identifiers used in the Dining Halls), and the digital menus at Pioneer Dining Hall.
